Coventry Train Station

Project Description

The contract involves the enabling works to create a footbridge to access four platforms and tunnel access in between a newly constructed bus terminal to the railway station. The platform works include reinforced concrete foundations and lift pits along with the replacement of platform drainage and service ducting. All these works are completed whilst the platforms are still fully operational.

Phase 2 of the project is the construction of a new second station building, new multi storey car park and access road connections. Aden were also contracted to provide a new bus interchange and to construct the concrete base and walls to the new access tunnel connecting the bus interchange to the station building.

The above works form part of the Coventry Master Plan in preparation for Coventry being awarded the City of Culture 2021.
