Project Description

The project involves the refurbishment and upgrading of an existing external reinforced concrete yard slab at Cummins UKLC. Aden’s detailed scope of works includes the following:

Saw cut and break out of existing reinforced external yard slab with removal. Regrade of the subbase formation by excavating and regarding the existing subbase formation to achieve the desired level and gradient. Compact the subbase to ensure proper load-bearing capacity and stability for the new concrete slab. Concrete Blinding by applying a layer of concrete blinding over the regraded subbase. Ensuring the blinding layer is smooth and level, providing a suitable surface for the reinforcement and concrete pour. Construction of the new reinforced concrete yard slab with a thickness of 225mm. Install reinforcement as per the structural design specifications. Pour and finish the concrete with a heavy brush finish to ensure a durable and non-slip surface.

All works are to be completed within the confines of an operating warehouse and external storage facility.

On successful completion of the groundworks package for our clients SDC the result will be an upgraded and refurbished external yard slab, enhancing the functionality and durability of the site.
