Project Description
Aden has been appointed by Wates Construction to deliver the full groundworks package at HMP Wayland on behalf of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ). The project forms part of a major expansion of the HMP Wayland facility and includes the construction of a new T60 Houseblock, Multifaith building, Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), Kitchen and an associated Energy Centre.
The groundworks package comprises of reduced level dig and the construction of all foundations and ground floor slabs. As part of the drainage scope Aden will install a complete foul and surface water drainage system across the development including the installation of five large attenuation tanks designed to manage on-site stormwater discharge. The works also include the installation of all incoming and outgoing external services which will provide the buildings with potable water, electrical and communications infrastructure and link to the wider estate networks. In addition to the substructure and services works, Aden’s scope extends to the construction of the external hard and soft landscaping across the project footprint
Aden will work in close collaboration with Wates Construction, the design team and the MOJ throughout the duration of the works to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality and programme performance.
