Aden is proud to announce the successful completion of the groundworks package for the new Leighton Linslade Leisure Centre, delivered for our client Willmott Dixon on behalf of Central Bedfordshire Council.

This project further strengthens our long-standing relationship with Willmott Dixon and builds upon our successful delivery of previous leisure schemes, including Flitwick Leisure Centre and Kingsland Leisure Centre. Securing and completing this major package reflects the continued trust placed in Aden’s expertise, quality, and ability to deliver complex construction projects.

The development involved the construction of a modern leisure facility featuring three reinforced concrete swimming pools, each designed to meet specific operational and user requirements. Aden delivered a comprehensive groundworks and substructure package, including reinforced concrete foundations, walls and slabs, providing the robust structural base necessary for the facility.

A key element of the works was the installation of an extensive drainage infrastructure, incorporating attenuation systems, pool backwash drainage networks, and foul pumping stations. These critical systems were delivered to support the efficient operation of the centre while meeting the required environmental and performance standards. Utility services were also successfully integrated throughout the development to support the building's long-term functionality.

In addition to the core substructure works, Aden completed extensive external works across the site. These included hard landscaping elements such as pathways, paved areas and access routes, alongside soft landscaping that enhances the appearance of the surrounding environment and creates an attractive setting for visitors and the local community.

The completion of the Leighton Buzzard Leisure Centre groundworks package marks another significant milestone for Aden.
