Project Description

Wixams 6FE is a new build teaching block and sports hall for the existing Wixams Academy in Bedford. Aden secured the full groundworks package for our clients Willmott Dixon.

Aden's scope of works for the project include, the full Site Preparation of Strip, cut, and fill to achieve new levels as per design requirements. Excavation and casting of new foundations, including the installation of holding down bolts for the steel frame structure. Complete substructure works to form the new ground floor slab, including waterproofing, formwork, reinforcement, and concrete works. Construction of a new foul and storm water drainage network to ensure proper water management. Installation of a foul water storage tank, pump chamber, and rising main.

Implementation of an adoptable foul water drainage system in compliance with regulations. Installation of all incoming services required for the new school building and sports hall. Implementation of both hard and soft landscaping works surrounding the school premises to enhance aesthetics and functionality. Extension of the existing carpark and necessary alterations to accommodate increased capacity and traffic flow. Finishing with the installation of new bin stores and cycle shelters.
