Aden Contracting’s Second Annual Tree Planting Day

Aden's Second Annual Tree Planting Day, 2023.

Yesterday the 15th February was Aden's Second Annual Company Tree Planting Day with The Forest of Marston Vale.

In September 2021 Aden became corporate friends with the charity and pledged to plant over two hundred trees annually.

The Forest of Marston Vale is a Community Forest and a Charity, planting trees and using woodlands to make life better for the people and wildlife in the 61 square mile area of the Marston Vale, between Bedford and Milton Keynes. The Charity has planted over 2 million trees to transform the landscape and improve the prospects of the Marston Vale, because trees make life better! Trees help to cool and clean our air, lock up carbon, reduce flooding, provide sustainable raw materials, and are our best hope in combatting the climate crisis.

The Charity is working to keep a balance between the environment and new developments. Their goal is to work towards 30% tree cover, which works out at another 5 million trees. Every time a new development goes ahead, they work hard to make sure that there’s an overall net environmental gain.

A team from Aden and their families helped to plant two hundred and fifty trees at the Queens Wood planting site near Houghton House, Ampthill. It was a fantastic morning in the winter sunshine, a great time was had by all. We look forward to next year.
